The first debate between future hope Barack Obama and past despair John McCain will be tonight at six. Thrill to the regurgitated Republican lies spread to encourage fear and doubt. Gasp at the shocking display of false numbers used to twist reality to conform to conservative desires. Marvel at the awkward, stumbling steps it took to get a GOP candidate so far out of his element as to end up here. Lament the number of people that get in line behind it all.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a president that believed and supported science? Versus, you know, a fundamentalist that denies the truth of quantum physics, but then uses a cell phone made possible by it?
It really is up to you to aggressively refute the arguements of the willfully ignorant. Arm yourself with at least a minimum of basic facts, and join the tide.
Poles are universally hated and clung to, for reasons I assume you already know. If you would like a comprehensive result that cuts through the crap, averages everything and acts as a watchdog for dubious claims, i recommend this.

I'm afraid you don't really understand what obama is proposing in the way of taxes. He wants to implement a %75 tax rate on those earning more than $250,000 a year. That's right, I said %75. Sure, they'll still have over $60,000 at thier disposal, but do you understand what that tax increase means? It's the redistribution of wealth. That's also called socialism. This nation was founded on the principals of freedom. Freedom in EVERY aspect of life, including keeping your own money.
We're losing our freedoms at a rapid pace. Let's not hasten this cycle by putting the most liberal politician we've ever seen in the White House.
Funny, the chart doesn't show that...I also know that under the New Deal and up until 1952 they were higher than even that!
I've been doing things wrong most of my life; I even voted for a jug-eared Texan a couple of times, the first because I thought he actually stood a chance...
